Apologies to any and all who hoped to find menus ideas posted this week. I'm currently on a...um....hum. A research trip! yes! Let's called it a research trip, instead of what it actually is: eating my way across several southern states. I can recommend, if you need inspiration, googling the menus of any restaurant in Charlotte, NC, especially Revolution Pizza,Nolen Kitchen, King's Kitchen, Cabo Fish Taco, or the Flying Biscuit cafe.I've already learned the secret of the amazing grits at flying biscuit- get this- they cook them in cream! Awesome! And good grief, they are almost worth every creamy calorie.
Soon as we get home, I'll also be googling the menus of restaurants in Asheville NC. I know I'll be copying the lemon vegetable soup from Bistro 1896, and the tamarind chicken salad from Neo cantina. If I had the skill, I'd attempt to copy the amazing Indian food we had at Chai Pani.

The food in Chattanooga's off to a promising start too: Late night dinner was Bruchetta and French Onion Soup! Breakfast tommorow in the Arts District. What'd ya wanna bet there's a coffee and a croissant waiting for me?
